Janet Phang
Principal Clinical Psychologist
Janet graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Masters in Clinical Psychology. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy, but also integrates other evidence-based therapeutic approaches in her practice to tailor interventions for her clients.
Prior to joining Psychology Matters, she worked in a variety of private and public healthcare settings (Singapore General Hospital and the National Cancer Centre). Janet works with adolescents and adults who experience mood and anxiety disorders, work stress and burnout, and relational difficulties. She also has a special interest in working with chronic diseases, especially individuals with diabetes and cancer survivors.
Janet believes in supporting her clients’ growth by helping them to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, developing different perspectives and skills that will enable them to thrive.
